Who is Shiro ?

In this blog i will tell you about myself and cosplay. If you haven any qeustions just ask me.
Who is Shiro?
well my officele name is Jolanda but because of my first cosplay "Hitsugaya Toushiro" people give me the nickname Shiro. So if i need some new i introduce myself as Shiro is much easier for cosplayers. So what can i tell about myself? Well I live in the Netherland. I have a mother father and a big sister. I started cosplaying in 2007 but stop for one year for studies. In 2009 I started officle on cosplaying.
How did i get in the cosplay world?
When i was young i look at the Animes here on Tv. From Dragonball z to digimon to shinzou
back then there was alot on the tv. On my 16 years i met a few gundam wing cosplayers that show me alot of pictures of the conventies there. I found this soo cool that i wanted to cosplay as well but in my mind i tought it was only over there and not here. Till 6 years a go a friend from the Netherland wear a cosplay and i found that realy awsome , she told me she went to a dutch convention. I ask her were the conventions where her in the Netherland. She give me a website where people meet up and where the next meeting or convention was. i found it soo cool that i signed me in for the funparc meet. with my ex i went after funparc meet to a new convention called chibicon. I was so suprised when i came in and they had a lot of things to do. after this i stopt for a year cosplaying because i needed to finish studies. in 2009 i return back to Funparc meet and thats where my live as cosplayer started. I met my girlfriend and with her i do a lot cosplay couples together.
About my cosplay choich?
If i watch a Anime or read a manga i look at the charaters that is in there. Im a bit of a picky persone when it comes to charaters. I look at a few things that fits me the best
Height: because of my short height ( 157cm) i look at persones who arent that big my girl is bigger then me so i keep more eye if you see the deffrents in height.
Girl: because im a girl too its much easier to cosplay then .
Shota: I love cosplaying as kids or young one. I figure out that my face has a young look so yeah i like to do that
Uke: If there is a yaoicon or related i most of time choose uke. because it fits me better.
if i can pick one cosplay i mostly have done is Ciel Phantomhive from Kuroshitsuji i love the victorian cloths and the way he acts and of course i have my own Sebastian. Most of time i try to make my cosplay but because of my health problems i cant fix it all the time so somethimes i need to buy it but even when i buy it im picky.
Positive and negative experience in cosplay world?
Yes i have as well good ones but also bad ones. but i dont care about the bad once.
so what happend good and what happend bad for me? well let me make a little list
Positive experience.
In the years i cosplay i become here in Netherland a little famouse. Some people call me pro but i dont see it myself. Im just doing my best
I meet a lot of new friends and every convention i visted more people join.
I have my own cosplay group called Yosh those guys are great and even there isnt a convention we still meet up.
Me and ichi have a website in dutch for cosplayers that are new or still like to learn things. we help then with advice or even making cosplay for then
Negative experience.
I had one fight with a cosplayer about something stupid. Im not giving the details but he hurt my feelings very bad.
People jusing your photo's and say that they are on the photo and when you ask to remove it they gets angry to bad
Some people in the Netherland can be innoying and fallow you when you wear a cosplay and being mean.
Will i cosplay still in 10 year?
well i can never tell what the future will bring me but even so i will always stay in the cosplay world. Maby not as cosplay but i will still be active in it. Me and ichi want to open a cosplay store so that might be the part why i still be in the cosplay world. As long we have fun in it
